NNUH officially announces its acquisition of ISO 9001:2015 certification, which focuses on developing the hospital's quality management system for operational and support processes.

NNUH officially announced its acquisition of the ISO 9001:2015 certification in October 2021. This certification is a culmination of the hospital's efforts to implement quality management systems for operational and support processes, aiming to enhance the development of procedures related to the scale of the hospital's operational and support operations.
Obtaining this certification aligns with the vision of the hospital's board of trustees, board of directors, and the strategic plan for 2021. It focuses on improving services for citizens, organizing work, establishing a solid reference for departments and relevant units in daily operations, contributing to patient safety, streamlining and controlling expenses within clear foundations, and enhancing the patient experience at NNUH.
Quality management systems based on the latest version of the ISO 9001:2015 global standard focused on various aspects, such as risk management, human resources, documentation improvement, increased development capabilities, better controls, improved communication, and internal satisfaction for service beneficiaries.
It's worth mentioning that at the beginning of 2021, the hospital received a certification for quality management systems in the laboratory department, which focuses on providing accurate medical test results. This followed the hospital's achievement in 2020 when it obtained the Joint Commission International Accreditation (JCIA), becoming the first Palestinian academic medical center accredited by the International Hospital Accreditation Committee.
