The Emergency Department provides comprehensive emergency medical care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, through a qualified medical and nursing team, in direct collaboration with various medical and surgical specialties across the hospital.

The department provides rapid assessment and triage of patients according to the severity of their conditions and medical priority. It provides resuscitation and initial management of critically ill patients, followed by further assessment, diagnosis, and treatment, with appropriate decisions regarding discharge, observation, or hospital admission when required.

The department manages a wide range of emergency conditions, including:

• Critical Conditions and Resuscitation: Cardiac and respiratory arrest, altered levels of consciousness, shock, and conditions requiring immediate intervention and resuscitation.

• Cardiovascular Emergencies: Chest pain, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrhythmias, and hypertensive emergencies.

• Neurological Emergencies: Stroke, seizures, loss of consciousness, and acute neurological disorders.

• Injuries and Accidents: Road traffic accidents, multiple trauma, and injuries to the head, chest, abdomen, and extremities, as well as fractures, wounds, and severe bleeding.

• Respiratory Emergencies: Acute shortness of breath, severe asthma attacks, and respiratory conditions requiring urgent intervention.

• Surgical Emergencies: Acute abdominal pain and other surgical conditions requiring urgent assessment or intervention.

• Poisoning, Overdose, and Exposure to Hazardous Substances.
• Burns and Electrical Injuries.
• Pediatric Emergencies: A wide range of acute medical conditions and emergency injuries in children, including critical conditions.
• Ophthalmic, Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) Emergencies.
• Acute Medical Conditions: Including acute gastrointestinal and urinary disorders, diabetic emergencies, severe infections, and conditions requiring urgent assessment and treatment.
