The administration of NNUH received the news of the renewal of the International Accreditation Certificate for Healthcare Quality (Joint Commission International - JCI). This certificate was obtained by the hospital for the first time three years ago, making it the first internationally accredited medical academic center.
The hospital successfully renewed its international accreditation from the Joint Commission International for Healthcare Quality during the evaluation visits that took place from July 23, 2023, to July 27, 2023. The evaluation was conducted by a committee consisting of four international expert assessors in Hospital Assessment, examining the hospital's procedures based on a system consisting of more than 1,260 standards.
These standards are summarized in three main areas: the first area relates to direct patient care and safety, the second area focuses on the hospital's administrative system, and the third area pertains to standards related to student training and development, in addition to scientific research.
The hospital's pursuit of renewing its JCI accreditation aligns with the efforts of the Board of Trustees of NNUH, under the leadership of His Excellency Dr. Rami Hamdallah, to enhance and provide medical services of the highest quality possible.
In the same context, Dr. Amin Thalji, the CEO of NNUH, expressed his pride in this prestigious achievement. He commended the hospital's dedicated teams that work tirelessly day and night to ensure patient safety and provide services of the highest possible quality.
