On June 27, 2022, An-Najah National University Hospital inaugurated the University Center for Kidney and Urological Surgery and expanded the Emergency Department in the hospital. The opening ceremony was held inside the hospital in the presence of Mr. Sabih Al-Masri, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of An-Najah National University, and Dr. Rami Hamdallah, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the University and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of An-Najah National University Hospital. They welcomed guests, prominent figures from Nablus and Palestine, and the participating medical companies, and everyone who contributed to the success of the opening ceremony.
The opening of the University Center for Kidney and Urological Surgery is considered a significant addition to NNUH, the university, and healthcare services in Nablus and the entire region. The center provides comprehensive medical services in the field of kidney and urological surgery under one roof, eliminating the need for patients to endure the hassle and costs of traveling or fragmented treatment.
Additionally, the center strengthens its academic and educational role by training university students and residents in various sub-specialties, contributing to the graduation of highly qualified medical professionals at the highest academic and scientific levels.
At the end of the ceremony, attendees were invited to a tour of the hospital, which included a visit to the exhibition of pharmaceutical companies supplying the center with its necessary equipment. The tour concluded with the opening of the University Center for Kidney and Urological Surgery, in the presence of event organizers and invitees. Following that, the expansion of the Emergency Department was inaugurated, generously donated in memory of the late Mohammad Saeed Qassrawi and his son Saad Qassrawi.
