In a new step confirming its leadership in the local and international healthcare sector, An-Najah National University Hospital has been awarded a 4-star rating by Statista in collaboration with the global Newsweek magazine. The hospital was also included in the Global Hospital Rating rankings, making it one of the first hospitals in the region to receive this prestigious classification.

This evaluation highlights the hospital’s outstanding performance in various aspects of healthcare, further solidifying its position as one of the leading healthcare institutions in the region. The rating was based on several strict international criteria, including the quality of healthcare services, response speed, patient safety, innovation in health information technology, patient experience, and the hospital’s attractiveness as an employer. This achievement reflects the hospital’s commitment to delivering comprehensive healthcare services that meet the highest global standards.
On this occasion, H.E Professor Rami Al-Hamdallah, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, praised the achievement, saying: "An-Najah's receipt of this prestigious rating is the culmination of years of hard work and continuous development, affirming the hospital's commitment to providing world-class medical services." Dr. Iyad Maqbool, the hospital’s CEO, expressed his pride in this new global recognition, stating: “We are proud of this international acknowledgment, which reflects the efforts of all the hospital staff. This rating marks an important step toward strengthening our position as a leading institution providing advanced healthcare.”
In this context, Dr. Mohammad Jaber, Director of the Medical Department, emphasized that enhancing medical and technological capabilities has played a key role in improving the hospital’s medical performance, contributing to this achievement. Mr. Abdullah Dweikat, Director of the Quality Department, commended the teams that contributed to this success, noting that this rating is a testament to the hospital’s continuous commitment to improving healthcare quality and patient safety.
It is worth mentioning that An-Najah National University Hospital previously obtained accreditation from the Joint Commission International (JCI), becoming the first Palestinian academic medical center to receive this international accreditation, further enhancing its status as a leading healthcare and academic institution in Palestine and the region.
